Love the way you’ve used the wax crayon resist to create texture in the big letters. Excellent stuff!

Thanks man! But I can't take credit. I'm just reusing old scribbles by the kids. And with HIKE, I didn't even plan it...that was just a pleasant surprise!

The doing is ABSOLUTELY the prize! Admire your doings so much, Justus. Particularly love your transparency of process. It lights me up.

Thank you! Happy you enjoy reading about the process. It's fun to share and I have nothing to hide (except for a ream of failed sheets that sometimes gets recycled to be the background for a finished piece!)

Watching your process is exciting and fascinating! I love how dedicated you are to the letters and the words you’ve chosen.

My eldest also draws on procreate and has been for about 6 years. The things he can do are AMAZING. He’ll draw for hours, which makes my heart happy (and his too!)

Thanks! This week was intense! I may need to dial back to my simpler structured poems. We’ll see!

And good to hear about procreate. If she works on it regularly I’ll get her an Apple Pencil.

Those are great, man. They always give me a lot to think about in terms of graphical experiments with writing. Thanks so much for sharing.
