Oh, Rivers and Tides! Thanks for reminding me. That film is foundational. for me. I don't remember the music, so a perfect excuse to see it again. Thank you.

Sorry you had to suffer through COVID. It can really take the starch out of you. It sounds like you had the perfect place to recover, though. Lots of rest and time to just be. How you and your family will be totally well soon.

Of course Mama had to work the hardest so she’s of course having it drag out....but hopefully she’ll back to regular sooner rather than later.

Hmmm, maybe mama would like to hang out in the parents' home for awhile just to have her vacation. Sounds like she deserves it and could use it.

haha yeah...except she'd never let the kids out of her vicinity. She's not one to let dad wreak havoc with the little ones.

That movie, Rivers and Tides was excellent. I had to watch it for my Human Geography class when I was working on my B.A. in 2015.

Wow that sounds like an excellent class! I was lucky enough to watch it in the theater, went three or four times!

Sometimes it takes getting sick to give a parent a small sabbatical. It sounds like you enjoyed the physical and mental space. As much as we are devoted to our children, a break can be so important. I hope you're feeling much better every day.

Yes, it was a brutal first week with that sore throat. I didn't have a single night's rest...I kept getting up to force water down my gullet (another reason why it made sense for me to stay in my own place since we had one available to us). But I was back to work by the second week (and I wasn't trying to tough it out). The kids are fine too, though my wife is still wrestling with some fatigue still.

I’m so glad you and the children were able to shake it off. Sending love to your wife and hopes for a complete recovery.
