Love seeing all the iterations and how you keep pushing each piece, Justus. The quote about choosing something to challenge your audience gets me thinking...It's almost anti-branding. I like that.
Thanks! Good to know the variety isn't too repetitive. In picking through images, my main thought is "what would I want to see if I revisit this post in 2034?", but I also don't want to push too many images on the folks reading it today.
As for anti-branding, I dig it! After seeing the heterodox crowd get derailed into right-wing conspiracy mumbo jumbo in the early 2020's, I've been 1) grateful about working in relative obscurity and 2) deathly afraid of audience capture. Of all things, I do not want to sell my artistic soul to Mark Zuckerberg!
HA! Good for Moki! We named our bunny, Midnight, the Biker Bunny from Hell. The cats were scared to death of him.
I do like that last adage about selling writing courses on Substack. I had a writer buddy who kept taking classes in writing. I told her to stop wasting time doing that and JUST WRITE SOMETHING. She finally wrote a novel, but kept revising and rewriting and futzing around with it. I don't know if she ever advanced to sending it off to agents/publishers.
That is so cool. And so appropriate! I'm honored on Moki's behalf! I'm going to print this out and share it with her (and will let you know if she eats it).

Haha! Yes bunnies certainly can have their say!
And sorry to hear about your friend. It’s always sad to hear when someone hides their light behind perfectionism.

Oh! Cheers! Hopefully she’ll get a few good nibbles in!
